Fastest Car In The World: Lamborghini Huracan Performante Steals Nurburgring Record

If you're looking for the fastest road car on the planet, this is it.

It's called the Lamborghini Huracán Performante and it has just smashed the lap record set by a production - buy-it-from-a-showroom - car around the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife route in Germany.

It clocked a time of 6:52.01 at the 13-mile circuit, beating the previous lap record held by the near-£1million Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar by a staggering five seconds.
